Sreemangal is home to Bhanubil Community Tourism, which offers something truly special. The Manipuri Community will provide you with an exceptional experience. This is a Bangladeshi ethnic community. The city of Manipur served as their primary location of activities. Formerly a sovereign state, Manipur is now a state in India's North-Eastern Zone. Manipur was known by various names in the past. Names like Kyangleipak, Kyangkleipang, Kyanglei, Meitrabak, and Mekhali. Previously, the inhabitants of Manipur were known as Meitei. During the reign of Maharaj Garibniwaz, missionaries from Sylhet landed here (1709-1748). There was a story that these missionaries gave this region its name, "Manipur." The people were dubbed "Manipuris." Later, it was determined that Mahabharata's Manipur and Sylhet's Manipur were not the same location. The Manipuris went to the Bangladesh region. Conflicts, sociopolitical factors, and wars led to their settlement at different eras. Also, discover how the Manipuri people manufacture their distinctively designed handicrafts via weaving. The Manipuri people are renowned for their unique textiles, including moiraingphee, leirum, lasingphee, and phanek. On a loin-loom, a sort of backstrap loom often employed by hill people, tribal fabrics are weaved. Occasionally, the belt is braided from cane or bamboo. Weaving is a global skill, and every girl can do it.
